By Business Trips Comments Off

Paris has three main airports: Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais. When choosing plane tickets, keep in mind that they are far from each other and each has its own specialization. We will tell you everything a tourist needs to know about them.

Roissy Charles De Gaulle Airport

Charles de Gaulle Airport is the main airport in France, one of the largest in Europe and the world, one of the top ten in the world in terms of passenger traffic. All direct international flights and many connecting flights arrive here. Charles de Gaulle is the base airport of Air France. The airport is located 25 km from Paris. It has 8 terminals: 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F and 3. All are connected by the free metro.

Terminals 2 are connected by passages. Everything most important is concentrated here: luggage storage, duty-free check-in offices, hotels, a bus stop, a train station connecting the airport to major cities in France and Brussels, and the RER station of line B, from where you can easily leave to arrive in Paris.

The journey from the airport to Paris costs around €12 and takes around 40 minutes. To avoid wandering around the city looking for your hotel, you can order a taxi from Charles de Gaulle Airport using this link.

Orly Airport

Orly Airport mainly serves domestic traffic in France, as well as some European flights. This airport is located 15 km south of Paris. It has two terminals: south and west. The airport is closed at night. There is no luggage storage at the airport.

Orly airport is connected to Paris by the RER B line and the Orlyval train. You can also get to/from the airport by bus and even tram. And the easiest way is of course to order a taxi.

Beauvais Airport

Although Beauvais Airport serves Paris, it is located in the neighboring Picardy region.

The main difference between Beauvais and all other Paris airports is its port for low-cost airlines. The main carrier here is Ryanair, as well as other airlines offering low-cost flights.

The airport only has two terminals: 1 and 2. Beauvais does not operate at night and there is no luggage storage.

Beauvais is located 85 km from Paris and there is no commuter train or metro. The capital of France is accessible by bus, train or taxi. You can find taxi prices from Beauvais to Paris on this link.
