Private Transfer to the Invalides
The western 7th arrondissement is Paris's most aristocratic district - embassies, ministries, mansions with hidden courtyards. Hotels here are often in former hotels particuliers tucked behind discreet entrances on Rue de Bourgogne, Rue Saint-Dominique, or Rue de Grenelle. Our drivers know which doorways belong to which addresses - a detail that matters when you arrive late at night with luggage.

The quietest streets of aristocratic Paris
Why the western 7th is different
The western half of the 7th arrondissement - bordered by the Invalides to the east and the Champ-de-Mars to the west - is the most aristocratic district in Paris. It contains the French Prime Minister's office (Hotel de Matignon), the Foreign Ministry, dozens of foreign embassies, and the highest concentration of 18th-century private mansions still in noble or ambassadorial hands. The atmosphere is intentionally discreet.
Hotels particuliers and their hotels
Many of the district's hotels are in former private mansions - Hotel d'Aubusson, Le Cinq Codet, Hotel Bourgogne & Montana, Hotel Le Walt. The entrance is often through a porte cochere with no street signage; you cross a courtyard before reaching reception. A driver who does not know the property will struggle. We know the doors.
Walking access to Invalides and the Seine
From the western 7th you can walk in 10 minutes to Napoleon's tomb at the Invalides, to the Musee Rodin (10 minutes), to the Musee d'Orsay along the Seine (15 minutes), or to the Eiffel Tower itself (15 minutes). The streets are remarkably quiet - almost no commercial traffic. It is the closest thing in Paris to a residential village.
Lutetia and the Bon Marche area
Slightly east, at the boundary of the 6th and 7th, sits the Hotel Lutetia (the only Left Bank palace hotel) and Le Bon Marche (the world's first department store and now LVMH's flagship). For travellers wanting palace-hotel comfort with a Left Bank atmosphere, the Lutetia is unmatched.
